Knowledge Of Geosynthetic

What is Geosinthetic ? , Geo Synthetic or land and that means imitation or artificial ingredients . Artificial soil can be interpreted , but rather is meant Geosynthetic is a synthetic material used in soil engineering . Geosynthetic term refers to the synthetic materials used in geotechnical problems . Synthetic materials are the result of industry - polymerization chemical or petroleum industries . . The use of synthetic materials is related to the resistance ( durabilitity ) synthetic materials for chemical compounds , weathering , wear , UV light and microorganisms . The main polymers used to manufacture geosynthetic is Polyester ( PET ) , polyamide ( PM ) , Polypropylene ( PP ) and Polyethylene ( PE ) . There are 3 Types geosinthetic is quite famous and often used :

Geotextile is a type of fabric that is used to separate , filter , reinforce , protect or drain soil , geotextile made from polypropylene or polyester , geotextile fabrics come in three basic forms namely weaving , press needles , or heat bonded . Geotextile is now frequently used for various projects , government projects and private , geotextiles are used in many projects : traffic engineering , hydraulic engineering and so on marine.

Geomembrane is a material that serves as a waterproof , made of HDPE (Hight Density Polyethylene) or LDPE (Low Density polyethylen). Geomembrane is made of waterproof material, resistant to corrosion, oil, acid and high heat, which is a trend today. Geomembranes made of a relatively thin polymer sheets , but can also be made with a geotextile layer is continuously sprayed asphalt to form a waterproof layer.

Geogrid is a kind of geosynthetic materials ( geosynthetic ) which has openings big enough , and the stiffness of the material is better than the Geotextile , Geogrid is used to reinforce the soil and other similar materials . Geogrids are typically used to reinforce retaining walls , as well as subbases or subsoils under the road or building . Land separating under tension . Compared to soil , geogrid strong in tension . It allows them to transfer power to a larger land area to prevent bad things will happen . Geogrids are usually made of polymeric materials , such as polyester, polyethylene or polyproylene. They may wovern or knitted from yarn , heat welded from strips of material , produced a regular pattern for punching holes in each sheet of material, and then extended to the grid.
